Kiss Melons is a Proud Supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Throughout our 2018 harvesting season, we will feature the CFF’s Proud Supporter logo on all ‘Kiss Melons’ packaging headers.
The Russell Family recently lost their beloved daughter Lauren to the long-term complications of Cystic Fibrosis.
"Lauren would be proud of her family’s support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She was an inspiration to everyone who came to know her,” states Milas Russell, Jr., Vice President of Kiss Melons. “We intend to keep her legacy alive with our corporate donation. The "Kiss Lips" are fashioned after Lauren's lips, and her kiss is on every melon we produce. We are honored and proud to have this opportunity to give back to the CF community.”
Lauren was a dedicated and passionate advocate of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through speaking engagements, spearheading the ‘Lobetrotters Great Strides’ walking team and discussing her challenges with other CF patients and families.
In addition, the CFF created a special web page to tell Lauren's story and offer visitors an opportunity to donate to CFF in her memory. "This is a unique opportunity to align with a family-owned business that has witnessed the trials and tribulations of Cystic Fibrosis firsthand. We are excited to be a part of Lauren's legacy and help others affected with CF,” says Leigh Innocenti, Executive Director of the San Diego Area Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
